I welcomed the journey of motherhood at the age of 16. I know first-hand how hard it is to raise daughters; add daily life stressors, hormone changes, teenage years and personal trauma to the mix and now you really have rocket science. When I first became a mom, I was nervous, scared and so unsure but I was determined to have a bond with my daughter that I yearned for growing up. Throughout life, I have learned there are so many parents that feel or have felt the same way and would do anything to have that mother-daughter bond that we all dream of.
I am a licensed mental health professional that uses my experiences and expertise to help mothers and daughters define who they are individually while reconnecting, healing and strengthening their bond. In addition, I help adolescents and young adults manage their stress and navigate life challenges. By partnering with me, mothers and daughters learn strategies to repair and restore relationships with themselves and each other.
Most people don’t realize the various dynamics that influence the mother-daughter relationship and how they impact women later in life. It frustrates me to see mothers feeling defeated by motherhood and daughters navigating life aimlessly without love and guidance from their mother. I believe that all daughters would love to call their mother their first best friend.
That’s why I’m on a mission to help mothers build confidence in parenting while overcoming conflict and becoming that best friend that their little girl needs because mothers are also daughters that could use a special best friend.
